Who we are
Chalked is an independent darts scoring app. It is not run by any darts league. For anything about your data, email [email protected].
What we collect
- Your account: your first name, surname and email address, used to sign you in.
- Your team: which team you play for and your role (player, scorer, captain or committee).
- Match data: the scores, results and stats from nights scored in Chalked, with the names of the players in each game.
- Plus: whether you have Plus and until when. Card payments are handled by Stripe; we never see your card details.
- On your phone: your settings, team pick and practice games are stored in your phone’s browser. Practice games stay on your phone.
We don’t use advertising, tracking cookies or analytics.
Who can see it
Match results, player names and stats are shared with other Chalked users, because that’s what the app is for. Some detail, like other teams’ full scorecards and player scouting, is only shown to Plus members. Your email address is never shown to other players, except to your captain and the people who run Chalked so they can confirm who you are.
Why we use it
To run the service you’ve signed up for: signing you in, keeping your team’s records and stats, and providing Plus if you pay for it. We only email you to sign you in or about your account.
Who helps us run Chalked
- Supabase stores the database and handles sign-in. Our data is held in the EU (Frankfurt).
- Cloudflare hosts the website and app.
- Resend sends the sign-in emails.
- Stripe takes payments for Plus.
We don’t sell your data to anyone.
How long we keep it
While your account is open. If you ask us to delete your account, we remove your email and account within 30 days. Results of matches you played in stay in your team’s records, because they belong to the whole team, but we can replace your name with “Former player” if you ask.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete it, by emailing [email protected]. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
